What I've learned about grandparents
I'm almost a month old now and I've learned quite a few things in life already. Grandparents love you like parents do, they are just older. When you visit your grandparents, they never let you sleep in your car seat. The minute you are carried in the door, they are asking if it's okay to take you out and hold you.
They want to hold you a lot! Grandpas think they need to hold you all the time, except when you fill your diaper. Grandma says "with privilege comes responsibility," but I think there is a Grandpa exception clause that I haven't heard yet.
They love it when you smile. I hear people say it's just gas, but it sure makes everyone around me happy and starts those camera clicking sounds whenever I do. But if you're sleepy, grandparents don't seem to mind that either. They make a comfy bed.

When you're awake, grandparents like to talk to you. They think it's very important that we know the sound of their voices. They are either talking to you or reading you stories or singing you songs. Grandmas know the words to songs that are playing in the background, even if it's just music being played. They must not have any work to do, because whenever I visit, all they do is hold me, sing to me, talk to me or play with me.

Speaking of cameras, they've always got them handy. If they are not taking your photo, they are shooting a video, so always dress well when going to visit grandparents. However, they don't seem to notice my clothes as much as they notice me.

Just like a Mom or Dad, they have nice clothes to grab onto when you want to snuggle or take a little rest. They don't mind at all.

The same rules apply as at home: keep one hand on Grandma and one hand on the soother. Works great! They also seem to know when you are going to be hungry and they understand baby language just fine. You can say "GEEEE" at their house and get Mommy's milk to you almost as fast as Mommy can. It's still nice and warm!
