What I Get?
Our youngest granddaughter was recently potty trained. Early in the process she was at our house and let me know she needed to use the bathroom. When she was done, she asked "What I get?" It took me a minute to realize that she was looking for a reward that I figured was probably a part of the training process. I found a piece of candy corn and all was well. When her mom returned, I then learned that the "treats" had been discontinued since she had really mastered the process. But that has not stopped the requests. Each time she visits and she uses the bathroom her question is "What I get?" I have the joy of teaching homeschool teenagers high school math. Whenever we come up to a vacation time I challenge the students to complete all their assignments at the beginning of the time, rather than put it off until later, closer to the time for class to begin again.
