Slow and steady...

 It may not win any race, but it will make progress on the quilt(s). The wedding quilt was finished, washed and gifted. We're not in town for the wedding, so I was glad to get it done before and gift it to the bride.   I finished quilting the 2 quilts for our group donations that I will pass onto someone else to add our label and finish the binding. No photos.  I had the opportunity to help a gal who is new to sewing begin her first quilt. I was able to finish a couple more blocks for the bunk bed quilt while she was sewing. No photos (Hmmm. I see a pattern. 😆) Since my last post, I was able to finish up the red portions of the Crimson Christmas. It's so fun to see it grow!! This week was also a sew day with friends. Always fun and productive! I worked on the mauve potion of the Crimson Christmas quilt.  There was a section mis-sewn, but some picking took place and finished up.  And then at home, I was able to work the next few steps:  I've really enj...

What's on my design wall, sort of

 My main project at the moment is a wedding present. I'm not a huge fan of Kaffe fabrics, but this collection made the most sense given the favorite colors of the bride and groom. This was the quilt before I quilted it. I'm currently attaching the last side of the binding.  I have 2 quilts that need to be quilted for my sewing group. One is out to be ironed before basted. No photo. The wedding quilt has been my priority, so other quilt projects are taking a back seat  But, the friend with whom I'm meeting with to work on the Crimson Christmas quilt came by last week and we began cutting the next section. I've gotten this far. It's coming together quite easily, although not quickly. We did run into a bit of an issue. We bought this as a kit and for one color we weren't given enough fabric. The shop cut another piece, but it was too small! It would only have worked if you hadn't cut for that step yet. However, we figured out a work around. Whew! The beginning ...
