Maybe I should start?
I have been following many quilting bloggers since I started back to quilting in earnest in the summer of 2020. So much has transpired since then. New grandkids, retirement from teaching, death of my in-laws. And new grands mean more quilts sewn. The older grands all have quilts that were hand quilted, but fall of 2020 brought me a new sewing machine from hubby allowing me to quilt by machine. I ventured into the world of FMQ and found a new option that allowed for sewing of more quilts since the quilting process was now so much faster. October of 2022 brought the start of the Piecemakers, a group of friends who meet at my house monthly to make Project Linus quilts. To date we’ve made and delivered 30. The making of the quilts have also given me the option to practice my FMQ and quilting with my walking foot.
