On the road again...
Caught myself from laughing out loud while sitting in a food court in the Salt Lake City airport. Whew. Certainly wouldn't want to embarrass myself. Again.
We had a 5 hour layover on our way to Spokane for Steven's graduation and so after having an early lunch, walking all the terminals, twice, I decided to put the time to good use by learning the features of my new cell phone. I knew there were some texting options that I hadn't explored and so I started there. After learning the how to find the punctuation symbols as well as how to edit the "quick notes," I moved on to establishing different categories of callers and changing ringtones based on those categories.
That's what almost lead me to embarrassing myself. I began to wish that this phone had certain ringtones that weren't part of the preloaded ones. (Being a "pay as you go phone," even if I wanted to splurge and buy additional ringtones, that's not an option.) If I could download other ringtones, I might use I've Got You, Babe for when Bob calls. Maybe I could download Oh How He Loves You and Me for when Joel calls. (The song I began singing to him when I would rock him as a baby!) How about Find Your Wings when Steven calls and Here comes the Bride when Dawn calls? Maybe I could use Mozart's Requiem when someone calls that I don't really want to hear from. Or how about Hail to the Chief when the call is from GW? (Could happen, right??) Or how about Friends are Friends Forever by Michael W. Smith when its from a friend and We are Family when a family member calls. Of course, maybe I should use The Addams Family theme song. More appropriate, maybe. And finally, for my policeman friend I need a siren.
I guess I need to learn to carry at least two books when I fly. Either that or expect to embarrass myself when I try to keep myself occupied.
